A brilliant Cuprinol exterior matt wood paint that is suitable for use on multi-surface, making it a great choice to give your home a refresh. Barleywood is a stunning shade of blue that will add a splash of colour to your scheme. Designed to provide a long-lasting matt finish, this wood paint achieves a beautiful look, without compromising on quality. This 2.5L size contains enough paint to cover up to 12 m² on average. You can use a brush, roller or spray to apply an even layer. It will dry quickly between coats meaning you can recoat it in 8 hours. As well as looking brilliant, this water-based paint is safe for use in your home. It contains minimal VOCs, making it a safe choice for you and your environment.
- Surface Preparation - Bare wood should be pre-treated with Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear (IP) before applying Cuprinol Garden Shades.

Garage door
Great paint. I used this for an old garage door. If you're going to use undercoat, make sure it's compatible. Is suggest a water based undercoat.

Paint for a wooden garage door

Decent coverage, but does need at least two coats,
Surprisingly decent paint, used to paint a new garden gate & shed door that I built from rough sawn timber, both the gate & shed door were 6 foot by 4 foot, there was ample to cover both sides with three coats, I actually still have some left, around a quarter of a tin. But it does require three coats for the type of timber I was using, if you want to achieve a proper colour, overall though, very good stuff, as for longevity, only time will tell.

Excellent Paint
We had previously bought another brand that didn’t give the desired look. The right hand side is one coat of the other brand, the left hand side is one coat of this paint in shade Barleywood. It definitely needs 2 coats to give a solid colour but it’s a good consistency, easy to apply, good coverage and if done a warm day dries quick enough to apply the second coat same day. I do find it expensive but you get what you pay for. The quality is well worth it.

Beautiful blue
We bought this colour 9 years ago and have enjoyed a beautiful blue colour for so long. I bought it again last month and the bench looks new again. Great quality

Great coverage, true colour
I purchased this as my wife an artist wanted do do the garden fence a different colour to the bog standard browns and greys. It covered well ( cuprinol say two coats, it doesn't need it) one coat is sufficient. The colour dries the same colour as the illustration on the tin, it's a lighter colour when you apply it. It's more expensive than the browns but it is a better quality product. I would recommend this product.

Forget the right blue
Great coverage. Looks great. Shame the paint inside the tin did not match the label! Luckily it didn’t matter.

Great paint and easy to apply
Brought to paint external wooden gates and door. Easy to apply and gave a great finish. Dried quickly and dried quick enough to avoid any issues with surprise shower no long after painting. Did two coats and it look great. Recommend
