Ditch the sticky tape and use silicone
PBW Handyman - 30 days ago
The sticky tape is rubbish because it doesn’t stick (especially if there is traces of the old silicone on the surface). So peel it off and bed the seal on with clear silicone mastic. You can use white mastic but it’s less sticky. If you want to be doubly sure, seal the gap between the bath and wall first and whilst the mastic is still wet, fit the seal; that way if water gets behind the seal the mastic will stop it seeping down the gap.

Rubbish

I bought this product from the store and it does not say it’s for using behind tiles. Assumed, wrongly, like most purchasers that it was to seal on top of tiles. Now having read the reviews, wish I had done this initially. It certainly does not stick! B & Q should have description and instructions on product. Useless product.
Rubbish

Appsolutly rubbish. The back has a sticky strip which is useless. What a waste of money. Maybe B & Q should give more explanation on how/what to use along with this item to actually make it stick. Or make the strip on the back fit for purpose and actually stick.
Dirty product sent
Annoyed of Carshalton - 4 months ago
I’ve just received my bath strip, came slightly damaged, but worse was absolutely filthy, dirt stained and with sticky patches, not sure if to use it as marks will probably never come off, I went into store a few days before, but products were in poor condition on shelf, I stupidly thought that an online product would be a better idea, wrong they sent me a grubby one from the Sutton store anyway, as someone who works in retail I know you should never send out a rubbish product just to keep the 100% availability , all it does is upset the customer and make them go to another supplier, or buy direct.
