I bought this to make a 2.5m cut through existing laminate.

The laminate slowly took the edge straight off the cutting wheel with an impressive shower of glowing sparks while the dremel motor strained and stalled trying to make the cut.

30cm of laminate were too much for the tool and given it's advertised for that use I'd say it's not fit for purpose.

The end seems to endlessly spin round too so keeping the cutting wheel pointed down was frustrating.

All in all, a poor purpose. I can image it being really useful for model making or such, but for actual DIY I don't think it's up to the task.

handy bit of kit

This tool bills itself as being useful for cutting laminate flooring, which is the primary reason I purchased it. I love my Dremel so thought it'd be easier than buying a big Jigsaw I'd only use once in a while. It's not quite up to the job of that level of task, sadly.

I would have returned it but can see it'll be useful for other things so kept it among my Dremel arsenal.
