Features and Benefits
Dulux Silk is a smooth and creamy emulsion paint for use on walls and ceilings, giving a delicate shine finish. Silk emulsion looks especially good on perfectly plastered or skimmed walls. At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.
- Control air pollutants by choosing products with lower solvent levels

Bought this a few weeks back to brighten up a room. This product really worked! The room was previously a bdsm chamber and was painted black and dark red. So imagine my surprise when just two coats transformed the room. After emptying the room of bondage equipment, I open the tin, which isn't a tin, because it's plastic and whoa! it contain ed paint. I'm not an expert but it looked like paint, smelled like paint and tasted like paint (yum). For me, that was enough proof.
The man in the shop said "You should get a roller!" ....I thought he was being a bit cheeky because I drive a citreon berlingo and it does me just fine. Besides I can't afford a roller.
Anyhooooo..... after 12 days straight of "cutting in" using my grandsons paint brush from his painting set we got him for his 5th birthday, I needed a bigger brush for the rest of the walls. I asked my wife if she had a brush and surprisingly she said "yes! .......
...on my dressing table" Bingo! We were up and running. The brush wasn't easy to use and a bit messy too, but I'm not an expert so could use some practice. Having said that the overall effect was great, even if it was a bit more textured than I wanted.
When I showed my wife the finished job she was overcome with emotion, holding her hand over her mouth and I'm sure I saw a tear in hear eye.
As she left the room she mumbled something about taking me to specsavers, which is a great reward for my efforts because I lost my glasses over Xmas and haven't had a chance to replace them.
We'll done Dulux. I'm happy with it and my wife must be happy too because she said has told her solicitor all about it which was really nice of her.
Poor quality paint

The paint took several coats to finally block out the lighter paint that was underneath. If bumped with something the paint peels like a skin and can't be smoothed easily with sandpaper for touching up with fresh paint. Very disappointed.
Quality from Dulux as always!

Lovely colour that was a treat to roller on. Two coats covered the previous colour beautifully and we are delighted with the end result. Dulux is unbeatable!

I've tried every cheap paint under the sun, but always come back to Dulux, there are one or two others that are almost as good, also from B&Q, but in the end, for me, Dulux has it. I've decorated 12 flats with this stuff in the last 2 years and it covers almost everything in two coats. If the colour you are covering is very dark, put a coat of white emulsion on first.
