Product information

This emulsion paint is suitable for for use on interior walls & ceilings and covers up to 11 m² per litre on average.

  • Ensure surfaces are clean and free from grease and dust.
  • Suitable for Ceilings & walls
  • Apply a thick even coat using a medium pile roller, using a brush for edging. Load roller evenly and generously, ensuring paint is not spread across more than 0.5m² per roller load. If areas have been missed during application, these may be touched up rather than overcoating the whole area as the paint will dry to match the original coat. Leave a minimum of 4 hours before touch up. Failure to apply correctly may result in a second coat being required, particularly if overpainting a darker colour with a lighter topcoat. Do not apply in very damp or humid conditions or in extreme temperatures.

Features and benefits

Dulux Once matt has been specifically formulated to give you the perfect finish in just one coat. Its concentrated formulation means you only need one coat to get the quality finish you would expect from Dulux paints, in a fraction of the time.

  • Great coverage in just one coat, saving you time and money
  • We recommend using a one coat roller for optimal application
  • For best results follow the instructions on the tin carefully, a second coat may be required if overpainting a darker colour with a lighter top coat
  • Control air pollutants by choosing products with lower solvent levels
  • Great coverage in just one coat, saving you time and money

It claims you only need 1 coating - it's more like 3-5 coatings even on an almost white surface! Incredibly uneven spread, an absolute nightmare. Had to buy a second 5L tub cause the first one was finished before full even coat was achieved. Stay well away from this stuff. Waste of time and money.

Dulux Twice. Or thrice.

This lint has a lovely creamy consistency and applies very nicely. However it is most definitely not ‘Once’. I was painting over pale blue and needed 2 coats with a brush to cut in and 2 or 3 with a foam roller on the walls. Even needed 2 coats on an already white ceiling.

Misleading - definitely NOT ONE COAT!!!

Bought this to paint my bedroom. The idea of one coat appealed even though I could get twice the amount for half the price in a non one coat. But as I wanted to save time I spent the extra. Big regret as I ended up doing two coats for a good finish, as I could still see old paint through it slightly. I was about to ring dulux to complain until I read the small print. Only apply by fully loading a woolly roller covering no more that 50cm2!!!
Now if u draw that on a wall you’ll realise it’s tiny. And if your gonna paint 50cm2 with a roller, you might as well use a paint brush!!! Absolutely pointless. Do not recommend. Save your money and buy a normal paint tub. The only time this one cost may work is if your painting a dark colour.
