Features and benefits
Dulux Silk is a smooth and creamy emulsion paint for use on walls and ceilings, giving a delicate shine finish. Silk emulsion looks especially good on perfectly plastered or skimmed walls. At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.
- Control air pollutants by choosing products with lower solvent levels

Peeling, roller marks, misleading colour

I got this actually by accident, I meant to get easycare matte. I wish I had!! The only reason I went ahead with this is that it’s also meant to be durable and I couldn’t be bothered to go and exchange it with covid etc. So I went ahead and painted the feature wall. When removing the masking tape, several areas peeled off ruining the sharp edge I’d created and meaning I had to touch up the edges freehand. The peeled areas are lifted away from the wall and so I’ll potentially have to glue them down. Roller marks are visible due to how shiny this is. I wanted a warm grey/taupey colour and thought this would be great, it’s actually a very blue grey and looks flat and not a good colour to create a cosy atmosphere in a bedroom. Would not recommend.

After using chic shadow and being disappointed that it looked blue, I then went out and bought this colour. Between googling the colour, the colour on the tin, the colour on the shop sample, and the colour that actually appeared on the wall were all completely different! A waste of time and money as my wall is still blue!
