I've bought many over the years, 5 yesterday too.
I dont undertsand the very negative reviews when for £3 you can't beat them.
My only comment is: prior to use make sure all the sides and hinges are properly clipped in as often they're not on receipt.
Once correctly assembled these can hold quite a lot of weight. I have a shed with about 30 of these storing tree logs drying out.
Reasonably heavy duty, not perfect but good

The sliding mechanism does not lock, and so yes you do need to be a bit careful when carrying them with a lot of mass. But they hold up, and I don't agree with another reviewer that they should end up in landfill. That's completely unfair.
I bought these as needed a lot of van storage that could slide in and out regularly underneath a platform. They seem reasonably heavy duty. If you need very heavy duty boxes then you should be looking at Euro storage boxes which do not fold.
I think they are reasonably well designed.
Not fit for purpose

Complete waste of money. Cheap plastic that fell apart within weeks. This is precisely what's wrong with consumerism, race to the bottom, you get what you pay for. Plastic is a marvellous invention and if it is solid and lasts a lifetime is no problem to the planet. This however is instant landfill. Will never purchase again

These baskets are excellent. We use them for our ‘extended larder’ on shelves in the garage. Substantial enough to hold food, tins, etc. Good quality. We own over 20 of them in 2 houses, and was in the process of buying more when I decided to contribute with a review.

For some reason, B&Q are listing all of the reviews for the lightweight 33L & 45L crates under this 46L crate and giving it a bad name. This is actually quite a sturdy crate. I wouldn’t fill it with metal or heavy tools but fine for keeping in the car and putting your shopping in. I don’t know why B&Q can’t keep their products straight and tell the difference between two entirely different items but I can assure you that the reviews for the 33L crate etc do not reflect on the quality of the heavy duty crate.
