This hardy perennial is very versatile – it can be used for indoor and outdoor displays! Commonly known as Bridal Wreath, Francoa sonchifolia 'Pink Giant' produces spikes of candyfloss pink blooms, each with magenta markings, surrounded by slender, bright green foliage. It makes a reliable addition to your borders, or you can grow in a cut flower garden and create beautiful summer bouquets!Sow February to June. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite.Keep at a temperature of between 13-15ºC (55-60ºF). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 14-30 days.When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays and grow on in cooler conditions.
