Spring white agrotextile - 17 gsm

Amateurs growing vegetables on their plots can also use a lighter white agrotextile with a thickness of 17 g/m², 19 g/m² or 23 g/m², also referred to as spring agrotextile. Vegetables that respond well to covering with agrotextile are: lettuce, early cabbage, Chinese cabbage, kohlrabi, cauliflower, radish, radish, carrot, celery, early varieties of potatoes, peppers, strawberries. Vegetables and other plants from sowing or planting are covered immediately after sowing or planting seedlings, while plants from winter sowing, as well as biennials and perennials, when the external temperature stabilizes above 5°C (usually from mid-March). The best effects will be obtained by the cover applied when the surface of the soil is moist (it will keep the moisture accumulated in the soil, limit evaporation).

We spread the spring agrotextile relatively loosely on the sown or planted patch, so that it does not embarrass or distort the plants, which are growing and will need more and more space. It is most convenient to spread the agrotextile in accordance with the direction of the wind. Then, its edges must be fixed (protected against breaking off by the wind) by covering with mounds of earth, laying stones or bricks, or other weighting materials available on the plot. We should place such a load approximately every 1 meter.
