Waste of money

Opened the box and was extremely disappointed to find there was no gas cylinder at this price. Once I'd managed to source a suitable gas bottle, it worked for all of about 5 minutes after which time I get a very poor flame. I've tried replacing the gas bottle but no luck. There is what looks like a particle filter inside the nozzle. When you remove this filter the gas comes out just fine, but this would give a direct path back into the canister and likely cause an explosion. So it seems that the problem myself and other people are having is due to the filter in the nozzle. Either way, I wouldn't waste money on buying this and would get another instead.

Bought this because it looked just what i needed. But never found out because bandq don.t stock the gas cylinder !!! Could.nt find cylinder anywhere local. Could get them from england or online at a £10 delivery charge. So beware if you fancy this blowtorch.

I don't know why people have had a problem with this product. I've been using it for a while and had no problems. It easily heats up pipes for soldering, though a little slow with 22 mm, but perfectly usable.
A decent product for a sensible price

Butane is reluctant in cold conditions and it gets colder (and so more reluctant) in use as the evaporating gas draws latent heat from the liquid gas in the canister. Pre-warming the blowtorch by holding it in the hand and shaking it makes it much livelier and willing to function properly. I suspect that it is this characteristic that has caused some users grief? The tool is well made and stable and provides plenty enough heat for soft soldering of copper pipes. The flame control is a little crude and lighting requires a certain knack.
