The grey colour was fine but the drying time definitely takes longer than it says.
Nice colour, but drying time is very wrong

Online it says it should be dry within 12 hours. On the tin it says 16-24 hours. We put this down on a shop floor 50 hours ago & still wet, to the point where you touch it & it goes on your hand. Should we have been told it takes this long we would have finished painting the walls but now we are 3 days behind schedule because of the severely inaccurate description. You also need a lot to cover any lumps, bumps and cracks. It's a nice colour & good coverage considering but only worth 2* in my opinion
Nimbus Grey floor paint
Gris - 4 years ago
I have used this paint before and am very pleased with the results. I bought the 5lt can which is more than enough to paint a one and a half sized garage twice, with some left over. I diluted the first coat with white spirit as per the instructions on the tin and applied with a medium bristled broom (you can place this in a bowl of water between coats to keep it soft). A paint brush is good for edges etc. I haven't tried a roller. My garage floor is extremely rough (wish I had used self-levelling compound on it first - but too late now). Anyway, the result is excellent considering the state of the cement and SO easy to clean - no more dust. Nimbus grey is a silvery grey - which I like because it is light. Frigate grey is also a nice colour - a medium blue/grey. Unlike other reviews I have read over-night drying was sufficient before applying a second coat. The smell of paint does linger for quite some time though. I have painted two garage floors now - only time will tell how hard-wearing this paint is - but so far so good. I have read that car tyres will lift the paint in time. I have therefore cut two strips of clear heavy-duty polythene and placed these on the floor (east to west)- so that when I park the car the tyres stand on the polythene strips. So far this seems to be working.
