Excellent bit of kit for the price

I bought this recently (Sept 2020) last one at Keighley B&Q. It has been excellent in cutting up a cast iron ancient solid fuel range cooker, and other stuff my little 650W Bosch would not be happy about!

The item did not work. when plugged in nothing totally dead. tried to return to a store for a refund and messed about being told that the receipt does not have a barcode to scan so carn`t give refund only credit note. NO! I do not want a credit note.. Then finally get told the computers are down that I will have to come back.. Total messers absolute waste of time. So now I have an angle grinder that doesn't work and the job still isn't done.

Brought one of these to replace my old AEG that had just burnt out after40 years. Appears very good with plenty of power and 2 guards one for cutting and one for grinding. The only problem is the disc clamping plates are very small compared to my old grinder ands while they will be fine for diamond discs they are a bit small for normal discs that need more support. Luckily my old clamping plates fit so I can use those.
Based this purchase on these reviews as they were both very positive unlike the cheaper option and with 20% off at B&Q it was a great deal
Loads of power

I bought this as a cheap option of cutting patio slabs. It was cheaper to buy this and a disc than to rent a Stihl saw. I was expecting some issues with cutting, there are no issues with cutting. With a diamond cutting disc, this does everything I needed it to and more.
It’s one of my go-to tools, it’s been used for cutting patio slabs, cutting thick posts, metal of all kinds (cutting/shaping/grinding). It really is brilliant, and for the price it’s unbeatable.
I do find that the tensioning nut that holds the discs on can become very stuck. Using a cutting disc it became so stuck I needed to use a smaller grinder to cut the disc out. Fixed it in the end though.
