I bought this Mac Alister angle grinder because a more expensive one I had purchased a couple of years ago failed. I’ve used this several times on various jobs including some heavy duty angle iron and it works very well. Its well finished, clear instructions and easy to use. Ideal for an occasional user like me.

Like others the Chuck seized and the spindle won’t lock. Seems to be a one job tool. I would avoid and buy a better brand.
Buy something else

Looks good in the shop, the price is attractive. Blew all the fuses out, can't get the blade off, waste of a day. Lost a days wages. Get something else.
It works. Once.

I stupidly bought this product twice. You would think I would learn that you get what you pay for.
I did a job. It worked fine. Next time I tried to use it, the chuck had seized, making it totally useless. So I bought another one, and exactly the same thing happened again.
Spend a bit more and save yourself some money.
Good at first

I’ve used this tool very little on my latest use I was cutting brick pavers. I cut 1 and placed it in position came back to cut another and it was completely dead. I changed the fuse and tested with my electrical device. I think it’s the switch that is the issue. Cheap parts I reckon. Anyway I won’t buy mc calister again.
