The disc that came with the grinder is not suitable for cutting paving slabs also it seems to catch on the guard. Not pleased with purchase and now need to purchase additional discs for stronger cutting.

Oh dear!

I bought this to help with a building project for a friend of mine. I used it a couple of times and all was going well. I liked the soft start and the ease of moving the guard. Then I didn't use it for several weeks. So it was stored in the house in the dry. I needed to cut some blocks with a diamond blade. I must have cut about 20 and it started tripping the electric. I would reset it and it would be fine for a couple of blocks and then trip again. The next thing I knew it had sparks coming out the side of it. I checked the brushes. No problem there. I took it back and b and q gave me my money back. I ended up getting the Ryobi. That seems to have done the trick.
