I chose this model in store over others as the box advertises a maximum cut depth of 200mm for wood. Once Home and unpacked I soon realised that the blades supplied are much shorter and are only about 80mm long. I think this is very misleading and should be made much clearer ie: it could cut upto 200mm if you cough up some extra cash for a longer blade. I’m surprised you Macallister/B&Q haven’t been pulled up for this already by Trading Standards. Frustrating that instead of chopping trees I now have to go back in search of a long blade.

I bought this to chop the tops off 4 inch fence posts to tidy up. I went for this saw due to its 800mm cutting depth. I didn't realise that you need to purchase an additional blade to do this, but at £10 or there about a I'm not complaining as by the time I used it to cut up five old fence panels I am well pleased with this item and I'm glad I paid the extra for it. I like a power tool to have its own case and this one does. This is the second Macalister power tool I've bought the first being a circular saw and I'm more than pleased with this brand.
