No spare cutting wheels
RDF - 4 months ago
After four day use on normal ceramic wall tiles the cutting wheel needs replacing. B and Q does not sell spare cutting wheels. If you look at the details on the web page it says "The cutting wheels are replaceable with YG6X, 15 x 6 x 1.5mm" They don't sell them! It also says the same under the next size up, with a 22mm cutting wheel. it's quite a good cutter for wall tiles but once the cutting wheel is blunt you have to buy another one.

I’ve used this to tile a bathroom this weekend and it has as worked perfectly every time. I still can believe that at £20 this is any good, but it really is!
No good for textured floor tiles

I followed the B&Q guideline video but just couldn't get a clean straight long cut on textured floor tiles (approx 9mm). I took it back to store, the customer services staff called over an experienced member of staff who tried two short cuts and didn't achieve a straight cut on either. They then issued me with a refund. I'm sure it would be fine for thin wall tiles.

unless you have used a tile cutter like this you would have no idea what to do. No instructions in the box. It is fairly sturdy but thats about all you can say
Does the job.

I allready have one of this type of cutter allthough a smaller one, having larger tiles had to purchase a larger cutter . As i say it does the job like it says on the box.
