Mangetout (Pea) 'Oregon Sugar Pod' Plants - 8 Pack - Easy Planting

'Oregon Sugar Pod' is a superb, heavy cropping variety of peas that produces crisp, broad pods with a delicious sweet flavour. They are ideal for eating straight from the vine and in a stir fry. To get the sweetest flavour, these peas are best cooked when picked young and cooked within 30 minutes of harvest, before the sugar has turned to starch.

Planting of these mangetout plants should occur from mid March onwards and will reach a height and spread of 90cm x 30cm. They will require a support structure as they mature, such as a trellis or bamboo cane supports.

Grow in a sheltered sunny position in well draining soil. Water after planting, with plant food to prevent transportation shock. It's also best to water with plant food added during its growing season to allow for a good crop.
