Old house V new taps
Replacing taps in an old bathroom. The taps themselves are easy to manipulate and visually pleasing. I have had them only few weeks so cannot comment on tarnishing etc. The installation was a bit complicated due to the different size of pipes of the bathroom and what the taps were designed for. The bath taps had to have a strong sealant around them, again because of the size difference (something to consider if DIY instal). As we have a low pressure water supply the taps’ inner fittings for high pressure had to be adjusted. Definitely a job for a professional.

Good quality taps, with push-to-open waste fitting
Fitted and working. The silicone washers that come with the waste are much better than those usually supplied as a package. The taps look good and have standard fittings. The ceramic cartridge can be removed by unscrewing the lever, then the small locating hex nut which is then reviled.
