On reading some of the reviews I really wasn’t overly confident but on opening the packaging I could already see that the item I got was different from the photos on the b and q website. This wasn’t a problem as they’ve obviously updated the mechanism as it is really well built. For the most part the instructions were really precise though there were one or two instances I found myself going back a few steps to do something that hadn’t been mentioned. Overall I’m very pleased with the purchase. My only slight gripe is that from the photos you would assume that the door width can be any size but it seems with the new mechanism you can only have a 500mm door. Though with some minor tweaking I’ve managed to do it with a 450mm door as our kitchen is so small a little
Bit here and there is helping lots.
Poor quality mechanism.

Was never right after installation always having to be adjusted and parts falling off. After five years a weld has failed so rendering it useless.
However will have to buy another one as it's the only thing that will fit the cupboard.
Love this unit.

You cannot put this together in a hurry - read the instructions carefully and take note of the measurements in the instructions. It needs to be about 15mm away from the back of the cupboard.
Best product in my Kitchen!

I purchased a new kitchen in June through B&Q and this product is the highlight! Such a clever use of space that would usually be unreachable. Very sturdy structure, I have it filled with cans & it opens as easily as it did when it was empty.
Well done B&Q... Thoroughly recommend this product.
Not bad, but instructions are clearly lacking

After reading reviews and taking our time with the building process, we also came unstuck with the door not shutting correctly and the soft close not functioning. As per previous review, yes, you do need to give the door a good shove at the bottom to get it to close fully. What the instructions don’t mention, and I believe this has been omitted in error, is how to set the soft close. If you just shove the door, it will close fine. Until the next time you open it, then you’ll have to shove it again...I remembered from previous (Insert Swedish competitor name here) units that you have to physically set the soft close the first time around.
This unit is no different. Parts 14 and 17 (I forget which is which) engage with one another. To set the soft close, you have to manually pull the sliding spring mechanism in the Chanel that is underneath 14 (I think - the longer one attached closer to the door that is a different shape to that of the item in the instructions) to the end of Chanel until it clicks and engages into its home. Next time you shut the door, this spring slide is pushed inwards by part 17 and creates the soft close effect. I think. Either way, I spent half an hour getting rage unnecessarily, all I had to do was slide the spring doohicky 5 inches to the right and job done.
