It works by detecting and monitoring body heat in an area, when the area becomes vacant, the switch will go off after a chosen duration (1-16 minutes). Perfect for use in toilets, warehouses and corridors to reduce the amount of electricity used and save money on energy bills. It is suitable for use with fluorescent lights, incandescent lamps, energy saving lamps or fans. This light switch can be used as a replacement or new switch with a 250V rated consumer unit (fuse box) as found in most UK houses. It can be used with a standard single back box and requires a 25mm depth as a minimum. If required more than one of these PIR switches can be linked in parallel to

make a circuit live, this could be useful at the top and bottom of a stair case.
