Cheap rollers are almost always a disappointment, so I decided to pay a bit more for a quality product and wasn't disappointed. The roller (with the very sturdy extension rod) did the job very well and made the rollering by far the easiest part of refurbishing two sizable bedrooms.

In a nutshell I wish i'd bought one years ago
.
No slippage of the roller, strong well angled mount. Sealed at the end so no oaint ingress no space at the other end for paint to get in.
Plastic frame is strong and doesnt contaminate the paint at the ends as metal frames do. I.e turning paint grey through abrasion caused by wet paint spinning within the soft alloy frame end screw, the bit you unscrew to fasten in the roller
and basically abrading the metal with a resulting grey tint that if left will end up on the surface your painting.
Most adjustable frames do this a lot because the fixing pins are soft alloy and matt paint soon wears it down.
