Decking was so old and actually starting to rot in places. Have no access to outside water as would normally use a pressure washer, so thought I would give this a go. Decking came up great, was really surprised.
The only decking cleaner you need

I've had decking at 2 of my properties now and used this every time. Use every 18-24 months. The majority of people with decking spend a lot of money having them installed or, like me, fitting them yourself but then neglect the aftercare.
Every 1-2 years you'll know when your decking needs cleaning, especially from algae, as the decking becomes incredibly slippery and dangerous. Pour the cleaner & reviver into a bucket or bowl and use a stiff hand brush to scrub the fluid into the wood. You'll end up with a green slop on your decking which you can then simply hose off.
Give it a couple of days to dry out then coat it with 'Ronseal Decking Protector' (or oils/stain if that's your choice) and your decking will come back up as if it has just been laid.
Best done in spring when the weather is a bit dryer.
Almost does what it says on the tin.

This is actually a good product. My deck was in a fairly poor state. Jet washed it first to get rid of flaky bits of old stain. Then used this reviver, gave it a good scrub with hard bristled yard broom after, then rinsed off with hose (did seem to take a while to rinse off). The dirt that rinsed off (considering i had already jet washed it beforehand) was amazing. I had thought originally would need to do it twice, but its come up so good, I'm not going to do it a second time.
I think coverage estimate on container is a bit "generous." I would certainly recommend spreading it more liberally, but overall, a good product.
Doesn't do what it say on the tin

Treated a patch of decking as per instructions, similar area untreated, power washed both areas equally. No difference in treated Vs untreated. Waste of money.

The decking was really dirty.
I put in a fairly liquid bottle and carefully squirted it on. Then used a stiff broom to sweep it in. Left for half hour In hot sun.
Then pressure washed off with a karcher yellow pressure washer.
The results were awesome ! .
It took at least 3 hours as I didn’t know what I was doing but learned trial and error.
This one needs fixing.
You have to get into the grooves on the decking and high power wash it off.
Im going to wait 48 hours before I apply Ronseal ultimate teak decking oil. If that don’t work then il get a stain.
I found it very difficult. But the cleaner is an excellent cleaner and I would recommend.
I’m an expert now.
