Not worth it

Terrible - it took two thick coats to get the colour, and then it washes of in patches in the rain. Whole fence needed repainting after only 3 months. I thought it might have been the batch etc, so painted again - again it washed off. Why bother selling rubbish like this?
Better experience than other reviewers

Used on very old deck boards repurposed as raised beds; also used on old and new fencing, plus various wood types around the garden to create uniformity. Many reviewers complaining about paint being thin but for me this proved to be the saving grace as I was able to slap it on without much consideration for getting into nooks and crannies as it naturally found it’s way into them; plus the wood just soaked it all up. I believe that my success may have come from throwing lots of paint at the wood with a fence brush/pasting brush without consideration for being economical with the product or trying to stretch it out? Dries really fast and the second coat produced a good deep colour. I painted one area during a heavy rain shower and the wood still held onto the majority of the paint. Again, the second coat gave a good deep colour. The first beds were painted over a year ago and remain very dark despite not cleaning them before they were painted. Comparing the end result on different wood structures in our garden, the fence is properly black whereas the repurposed deck boards are what could be described as ‘old’ black; a bit vintage, a bit worn in etc. Still very nice, very dark and an excellent backdrop for plants.

Gave it 3 coats ,then left for 3 days in sunny weather.. After all that the first rain has taken loads of it off..UTTER RUBBISH. Just wish I could show you the pictures to show how terrible this product is.

This is the worst paint I've ever used, it's like coloured water. I've lost count with the amount of coats I have applied and yet it still doesn't look anywhere near as good as just one coat of cuprinol 5 year ducksback paint that I've had to buy to finish the job. I am planning on returning the ronseal paint as it's not fit for purpose.
