DO NOT BUY. I bought this product to go over rustoleum’s chalk furniture paint in the shade winter grey. I’d spent ages getting the paint lovely and even and enough coats done. I was so happy with how it looked until I applied this finishing wax. Despite buffing each area 10 minutes after application, it became all shades of yellow, brown, and red. I had to spend 6 hours sanding it all back down again to start with a different kind of paint. photos are before and after wax application.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong?

Sanded some old pine wardrobes, and painted with rustoleum chalky graphite paint- looked beautiful. Added this wax in clear. Now white patchy finish, looks horrible? So gutted its ruined. Anyone else had this when used over a darker colour???
Perfect for upcycling

I’ve used this wax for dozens of furniture pieces over RustOleum chalk as well as Good home paints. Can’t fault it and will be buying more in the future.

I bought this clear wax to finish off my kitchen cupboards I painted with the matt chalk paint. I wanted to get a shine and extra protection. I didn't buy the lacquer due to the reviews. The wax is easy to apply and as with all wax will turn the shade of your paint a slighter deeper colour, but I liked the fact it did this as I like the deep dark blue colour I selected and the wax just enhanced the colour.
I used a polishing cloth to apply the wax and another polishing cloth to buff the wax. One tin has more than lasted and I even intend on going for a second or third coat of wax in some places for added shine and protection.
