Fashioned from top-quality, pressure-treated timber, the Shire Arum is accompanied by a reassuring 10-year anti-rot assurance. The resulting shade from the pressure treatment is intentionally subtle, affording you the option to apply your preferred additional treatment, if desired.
Arriving in flat-pack configuration for convenient self-assembly, complemented by user-friendly instructions, the arbour does not feature pre-drilled screw holes.
Pressure Treatment - This technique entails the infusion of preservatives into timber under substantial pressure, bestowing robust, long-lasting protection against decay and fungal proliferation. The treatment remains nearly colourless, save for a faint greenish tint attributed to the copper content within the preservative. The Arum Arbour can be tailored through painting or staining, or can be left to naturally age. Over time, the treatment develops a greyish patina, which in no way compromises its quality.
