Product information

Elevate your garden to new heights with Lily Tree Yellow Rocket (Manisa). These breathtaking silken yellow petals gently fade to creamy white edges, creating exquisitely scented blooms that are sure to captivate your senses. The result of years of meticulous breeding, Tree Lilies are a marvel of the floral world. In just two years, a single bulb of 'Yellow Rocket' can grow into a towering spectacle, reaching up to 2.5 meters (8 feet) and producing an astonishing thirty 20cm (8-inch) trumpet blooms. Their robust stalks, nearly 5cm (2 inches) thick, stand tall without support, while the lush foliage remains vibrant throughout the season. These beauties are low-maintenance, making them a perfect choice for gardeners of all levels. How to Grow: Plant these bulbs in moist, well-draining, neutral to acidicic soil enriched with organic matter. For container gardening, use a loam-based compost like John Innes No. 2. Plant the bulbs to a depth of three times their height, spacing them 15cm (6 inches) apart. A sunny yet sheltered location is best, allowing the lilies to reach for the sun while keeping their roots shaded. Regularly feed and water them to keep the soil consistently moist. Deadhead faded blooms at the base of the stem to prevent seed pods. When cutting for arrangements, leave a third of the stem to feed the bulb for the following year. After flowering, leave the stems intact until they yellow in autumn. For winter care, reduce watering and move containers to a cool, frost-free spot. In milder climates, lilies can thrive outdoors, provided the soil isn't too wet. Apply a spring mulch of well-rotted manure or compost. Container-grown lilies should be divided and repotted into fresh compost every other year. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results.
