Bought the charger today as needed to go to the garden centre to get some bits and pieces and my old classic car after the only occasional start for many month's needed a bit of a boost so an impulse purchase as my old one was 30 plus years old and was very tired if still working. Plugged the new charger in and set it to auto and all seemed happy fan came on then stopped and display showed 3 and a bit amps charge..all good came back an hour later and display dead so did the usual is the plug not in correctly etc then smelt the fan and the thing was freid. Luckily my neighbour had one and was charged within an hour. Taking it back for a refund after reading previous reviews.....nuff said

it has a flaw which the 1star reviews should read

possible fix - 1 month ago

after this whole lockdown i went to charge my battery like millions of other will be doing- it was likely flatter than dominic cummings deflated ego- and for the first time this automatic charger would not work. luckily i had an old manual charger which i hooked up for maybe a minute or two and upon reconnecting the auto charger it came back to life. I would suggest having any sort of low functioning manual charger or just keeping your old under powered one just to get that initial drip or two in in the very rare instance you battery is totally absolutely flat. i’d be curious to hear if any other negative reviews have later tried the unit after charging by other means. obviously it seems there could be a lot of working units heading to landfill for the wrong reason.

This product is an embarrassment

After using twice in three years it failed just like the other reviews. Rubbish, yet another lump of plastic going into environmental land full. Not good.

Failed first use
