Not good coverage - not as advertised

Bought this to paint over wood panelling on the side of our stairs. The wood was dark stained (mahogany effect) but according to the instructions and instore merchandising that wasn't going to be a problem. The first 3 coats were very patchy and the stain seemed to interact with the paint turning the woodwork a strange yellow colour.
Coat 4 was applied much thicker to overcome the coverage issues but then it ran and dripped like gloss and took ages to apply. We are getting there slowly but it would have been quicker to sand, prime and paint.
About to apply coat 5...
It's made for an expensive job.
I suspect that on more pale wood, this product would be more effective but cannot be sure.
Rubbish coverage - Don't believe the hype

We bought this paint due to paint the wooden paneling interior of our boat. From reading all the reviews and claims about less hassle and wonderful coverage etc etc
Its probably the worst paint we've ever used. We are about to apply our 4th coat to get a good coverage.
Wishing we had bought another paint, would have certainly cost less and saved us a lot of time.
Wouldn't recommend this paint at all.
Fantastic finish on woodwork

Although this paint is primarily for paneling after being given some from a relative I now use it on all woodwork in the home. It gives a reasonably tough finish (which is hard to achieve with water based paint) and has a great satin look with a light sheen. Expensive but far better than the dulux I bought originally.

This paint is amazing. Hardly any nasty smell. It covers brilliantly and you hardly use very much. A little goes a long way.

I bought this paint & painted a pine wardrobe with brilliant results. I didn't need to rub it down either!
