Yes it does take 5 coats but it’s completely worth it for a cheap alternative to re-tiling. I painted my kitchen with this and I’m completely happy with it. All I would say is scrub the corners and bottoms of your tiles and focus on these bits as if there’s still grease etc on these parts it won’t stick correctly and may be hard to cover. I used a paint brush and a mini foam roller on bigger areas I wouldn’t use a normal emulsion roller.
Really good paint

This does take 4-5 coats for a really good cover however I was painting over bright orange tiles. Used a mix of brush/mini roller, both applied similar result. I would recommend this for covering a small/medium area (a large area would take a lot of time with several coats, drying time etc so depends on patience!)

We needed a colour change for are tiles in the bathroom and didn’t fancy ripping out the old tiles so decided to try painting them first. I was a bit dubious at first about painting tiles but so glad I did brilliant finish. The art of this paint is to make sure your tiles are clean I used sugar soap. Apply first coat don’t overload roller patience is required. I applied 4 coats to get the finish you see in the last photo

I bought this paint to renovate my ancient salmon pink wall tiles. My builder applied it using a brush then small foam roller. It actually took five coats to finish the job but looked amazing at the end. The tiles now have a satin white shimmery finish with no sign of any remaining colour and have totally transformed my bathroom. Amazing product!
Great product but expect to put in the effort

I bought this to cover up coloured mosaic tiles in my kitchen. After one coat you notice all the imperfections so except to do some sanding down of grout imperfections you never noticed. After that I did another 6 layers and they dry pretty quickly in between which was good. Really nice finish I was worried it would look very Matt but it doesn’t. And it’s easy to clean stuff off because of the finish. Couldn’t have turned out better very pleased. Bought a grout touch up pen but don’t think I’ll use it between the tiles happy with them all looking the same colour but needed it for the old grouting around the edging. I had to regrout a couple of little parts that the paint brought out but that was it. I didn’t regrout it all the original grout was fine
