Terrible!
Used to paint my brothers kitchen, a mustard yellow ( can’t remember the name) Matt emulsion over a light cream colour. 4 coats !!!! and still needed to go over again in places. Initially used classic which l took back to b&q they agreed to swap for Premium however that wasn’t any better. I suggest Valspar reassess this colour paint, l have used shades of blue in the past without a problem. Don’t buy unless you’re happy to keep on painting many coats.

Terrible Coverage and B&Q Terrible Company
25 sq mtrs apparantly per 2.5ltr. 8.5 sq mtr wall, 2 coats, looks awful. Washy finish, worst paint ever. B&Q refuse refund cause I didnt bring paint back..... How on earth do I remove paint from a wall?

Paint cracked all over
Awful paint. Cracked and started to peel within 24 hours. It's meant to be emulsion and primer in one, so I don't understand how this has happened. We've done a fair bit of DIY in our time and have never experienced this. No response yet from valspar as to how to fix it.

Paint closes too quickly and coverage is poor
I bought this product to paint the hallway, but regret it. The coverage is not great for the money, but the worst thing is the surface seems to close in a matter of seconds seconds, tearing and bobbling if you so much as touch it again with a roller or brush. I've had to sand down walls after painting so I can go over them again. Never again.

Matt 700 valspar
Love the colour but dreadful paint - meant to be tough and scrubbable but only have to touch it to leave a mark. Awful stuff. Won't buy again.

All good
Painted my living room about 2 months ago. I chose the V700 to deal with a 2 year old, a six year old and a clumsy wife. Must say im very happy. Coverage for me was great, but then i wasn't going for a big colour change. Ive already taken advantage of the scrubbable finish. My 6 year old decided to try and carry her bike through the living room and knocked the wheel on a wall, leaving a black rubber mark. I simply took a damp, non-abrasive cloth, gave the mark a scrub, and within a minute or so it was gone. When i looked at the cloth afterwards, there was no paint residue on it like you would expect after scrubbing other matt emulsion. Good stuff.

Great Paint
A bit more expensive than off the shelf paint but well worth it. Walls have been filled and sanded - terrible plaster in a 1960's house and usually have to end up using wallpaper. This has been able to cover all the cracks and blemishes and gives a lovely finish. Glad I chose it!

Great paint!
I’d not tried Valspar paint before but will certainly buy again. This emulsion is easy to apply with a roller without splattering, and two coats gave a good solid coverage.

Never used this make of paint before but so glad I tried it. Recommended it to a decorater friend who was dubious but, after using it, conceded it was brilliant. Covers excellently and true to colour of swatch.

Wonderful coverage !
I started buying this paint a year ago, have painted the entire 5 bedroom house in a mixed to order pale grey. It has covered superbly, could have got away with 1 coat but lovely chap painting for us couldn't just put 1 coat on ! It is hard wearing, has been scrubbed on the stair wall ( little hand prints ! ) brilliant paint !
