Took off the screw-on hose fitting before mounting to the wall to find a lot of rust. On closer inspection the interior of the hard-line is rusting and I've only tested it so far!
Also, they weren't kind enough to include mounting screws and the holes in the bracket hear roughly a 9mm diameter - I'd have to use washers or buy in the right screws.
Taking back for a refund.

Both the plastic and brass hoselock fittings supplied with the product are completely useless. They leaked constantly even after I used PTFE tape. So I've had to replace those which has increased the overall cost. Secondly, all the threads on the pipes are so badly engineered that you have to use PTFE tape other wise they will leak anyway. Having said all of that, the reel itself works great and is a lovely alternative to all the plastic options out there. You just need to be pretty handy to get it going.
A classic case of you get what you pay for.

On the face of it this looks like a great hose reel. Appears sturdy but not bulky and with no potentially breakable plastic components apart from the handle.
Unpacking it I was surprised that there was no fixings included and not having any screws with big enough heads (or washers) I had to spend an additional few pounds on a packet of screws.
A week after I intended to install this, and with the fixings that I think should have been included, I tried again.
I tested putting the support into the bracket and it was a tight fit but I thought that wasn't going to be a problem. However, on mounting the wall bracket I then found that the support only went 1/2 of the way before it jammed and had to be hammered in with a mallet (!). So far so good...
When I did manage to get the thing up on the wall and connected the hose on either end, I found that BOTH of the fittings leaked. The plastic one dribbled out of the top at a rate that I could probably have lived with, but the brass fitting poured out, completely soaking me and everything in a 4ft radius in the process. After trying to tighten it up by hand and then with tools I gave it and the reel is now sat on the patio waiting to go back to the shop.
So, in conclusion, save your self a lot of time, additional expenditure and aggro and don't buy this!
