I bought this for my fence and picket fencing, never used a sprayer before but at the price i thought it was worth trying. Also bought the cuprinol sprayable fence paint to use with it. Have to say I was really impressed. I had to get used to pulling the trigger in a small amount to get a nice fine mist of paint or you do get a thick coating. However once I got the technique right it was brilliant. I was able to take all my fences off the posts so it made really easy to spray them both sides once proped up under some tarpaulin. I would say it uses more paint than just brushing on but who cares. What would normally take me two full days just took half a day. 100% would recommend.

I recently had 12 fence panels installed and wanted to paint them to match my existing fence panels. As they are part trellis I knew painting by hand was going to be long, tedious and difficult, trying to reach all the difficult spots by brush would be nigh on impossible.

I knew I needed something that would be quicker and easier. Having looked around for various sprayer, I found the Wagner 280W W100 on B&Q, with the reviews giving positive comments. I opted for this to see how I faired.

For those that have never sprayed before, including myself, the first attempts are trial and error. However, after a couple of sprays, I found myself doing a pretty good job. The sprayer gets into all the nook and crannies, coating the trellis section with ease and cuts the time to paint a side by brush by a lot. The end results are brilliant.

I am so pleased with this sprayer. By following the instructions, and adhering to the cleaning suggestions, the sprayer does a remarkable job. For the uninitiated, put the paint output knob as far as it can go so the minimum of paint is sprayed out, this will give you better control and result in a better finish. You can also change the spray direction for horizontal and vertical spraying.

The sprayer is very easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble. Definitely make sure you use spray paint although you can use other paint which will need diluting. It comes with a hand dilution tool to help with diluting correctly.

All in all I would highly recommend this sprayer for all users, experienced and novices alike. Great price, great product.

Good job done

I bought this paint sprayer because I wanted to defy the odds and try to use it to stray walls. In itself, to begin with, it's a good little sprayer. It's very good at straying wood and varnishes , because those paints are generally thinner. However, when I tried it with the Matt emulsion, for sprayer walls, it didn't do too well. I had to thin the pain significantly. Because of this, it's more susceptible to running. So it can sprayer walls with thinned down emulsions, but will need a few coats.
It's only 250 watts after all and the pick up straw is quite small. The Wagner wall extra bottle has a much bigger pick up straw but is designed to be used with a more powerful sprayer (over 600 watts).

I'll keeps this for light straying and perhaps base coating, but I'll get a more powerful sprayer for walls

This sprayer works wonders on decking, fence, or spraying varnishes. For that purpose I would definitely recommend it.

Awesome bit of kit.

I picked this sprayer up this afternoon with low expectations to be honest. I couldn't be happier with the results. I used up a full 5 litre tin of ducksback shed and fence paint on 8 fence panels and was done in about an hour. I purchased a fence brush at the same time and it didn't even come out the packet. The machine isn't particularly heavy but as I wanted to get the job knocked out I found using it for an hour straight I had to keep switching arms, so just a warning for the elderly if you have lots to paint. I didn't water the paint down at all and it worked perfectly. Cleaning was very easy, I just washed the tub out and sprayed 2 tanks of water through the system to be sure there was no paint left anywhere. Very impressed with the machine and feel for £48 it is very good value for money. Sure you can do it with a brush but this really is effortless and makes a boring task quite enjoyable. As a carpenter I feel this machine will pay for itself over and over again in a very short amount of time.
