Cheap unit that looks nice enough when installed
There is a bit of a design flaw with these if you want to mount them as shown on the product's own box, ie bulb pointing downwards. This is the best option for most outdoor wall-mounted applications, so that the light is directed down rather than off into the night sky. (NB the B&Q website shows them "upside down", which is how they are designed to be mounted - but this makes no practical sense!) The cable entry at the back of the light is logically enough behind the bulb holder, but there is a cutout to allow a cable to enter from "underneath" also - this ends up pointing upwards when the unit is mounted in the most sensible orientation, so a considerable amount of effort (and exterior waterproof sealant) is required to make this work. It's not put me off using them, they look nice when installed, but it's a shame when the design could've made things much easier. Another irritating feature is that the footprint against the wall is actually very small - much smaller than the overall dimensions - which makes covering up screw and cable holes much harder. Finally, the cable terminals are only barely large enough to squeeze two standard lighting wires into, so if these are on a ring circuit you will have a struggle. There's no earth terminal either, which is not really a problem for a plastic housing but it would be helpful to have somewhere to terminate the earth leads rather than having to add your own connector.
