Good B&Q, but watch out for the potholes in the car park (potholes now filled!) :)

About the store
Just up from Heathfield Retail Park, B&Q Ayr has supplied a wide array of home improvement products across Ayrshire and beyond since 1997. This includes everything from paint supplies and power tools to big brand kitchen appliances, Cooke & Lewis bathrooms and more. On top of that, the store has a large garden centre which stocks plants, patio furniture, sheds and various accessories. You can also get keys cut at the in-store kiosk, paint custom-mixed and gas bottles refilled. Plus, there’s a small TradePoint counter that opens early for tradesmen.

What’s in the local area?
Situated on Scotland’s southwest coast, Ayr is one of the largest retail centres in the region. Twinned with Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France, it’s also a popular seaside resort, best known for hosting the Scottish Grand National every year since 1965. In addition, Ayr is home to the annual Scottish International Airshow and is the birthplace of Scottish poet Robert Burns.
How do you find the store?
By car
B&Q Ayr is conveniently located just half a mile from the A77 bypass road. Follow Heathfield Road from Whitletts Roundabout and keep going until you spot us on the left. Access to the car park is via Old Farm Road.
By bus
Heathfield Retail Park is served by No.2 and No.6 Stagecoach West Scotland buses. Take either from Kyle Street in Ayr town centre to Parks Garage bus stop – only a short walk from the store. The No.2 bus also stops in Prestwick if you live north of us.
By train
If you’re arriving at Ayr’s main railway station, catch a connecting bus on nearby Kyle Street. Alternatively, Newton-on-Ayr station is closer to the store but has no direct bus connection. However, the No.6 bus stops 7 minutes’ walk away at Britannia Place.
