Awful - avoid!

Bought this as supposedly better than standard laminate but without the price hike to quartz/granite. The fitter had an awful time with any cutting, trying to make a tidy joint is impossible and it is all but impossible to get screws into. 2 months in we’re already seeing damage to the edges and given the ultra hard profile these are proving sharp. This worktop is a false economy - avoid!

Bought this worktop as we wanted something a bit different in our kitchen and it was thinner than the chunky work tops. BIG MISTAKE. The clips supplied to fit the work top to the sink don't hold because the work top is too thin. It's not deep enough to drop a hob into (we had to chop bits out of the oven housing). Our Corgi registered gas fitter said it looks great but was a waste of space and money, but worst of all.. YOU CANNOT SCREW INTO IT. We went back to B&Q and were told to drill, pack the hole with dowling then screw into it. Firstly, why should we?? Secondly, this does not work and when you're using it as a breakfast bar it needs to be secure. B&Q didn't supply us with any screws when we bought the worktop, obviously because they know a screw doesn't exist because YOU CAN'T SCREW INTO IT!! I don't usually write reviews (this is the first time) but I don't want anyone else to be as disappointed as we've been. The worktop is not fit for purpose, B&Q know it isn't and should discontinue it ASAP. And the only reason I've given it 1 star is I can't leave none.
