My electrician handyman built it as he was to install power and a light fitting, as I anticipated the ambient light would be quite poor, especially in winter. There was no fitting in "2-3 hours" due to this aspect, but there were big time consuming problems with a stable and level base. This had been installed last year in preparation by other builders and there was a cracked slab on sand due to the slightly shifting platform. This needs to be dead level so as not to cause wall flexure and door sticking. OK, not the fault per se of the shed, but you should be aware of slight panel instability and sticking issues for the future. The doors did cause problems as the right side had a built-in "banana bowing", so it couldn't casually be shut tight, and needs a deliberate push top and bottom to close it properly. I then noticed there's no door-shut lateral batten on the top which potentially means possible rain ingress, although there was no leakage after torrrential rain which struck within a day. Other minor negatives - the floor creaks in places, and the 2 shelves won't hold much at all, but are a useful add-on I suppose. Taken as a whole, the shed is a nice design, easy on the eye, and is more spacious than I envisaged, and will benefit from a couple of those knock-together storage racks. The major plus is no future maintenance - except that base levelling aspect, once the sand washes away under the slabs....

I recently purchased the 6 x 6 apex shed for my daughter's back garden. The build instructions were fairly easy to follow. The floor, wall and door panels were sturdy and the locking mechanisms well designed and easy to fit. However, I was very surprised at how flimsy the 2 roof sections were. I can only describe them as plastic wafers - each constructed from 2 thin sheets of plastic joined by plastic ribs and with two aluminium angle rods inserted across the width to provide some rigidity. Each roof section is inserted into the central beam across the apex of the shed and should lie snug inside the roof supports on top of the side walls. They are then fixed in place by inserting the provided screws from underneath, through pre-drilled holes in the roof supports. The attachment is therefore only through the bottom layer of the 'wafer' to prevent the points of the screws showing above the roof line. The second problem is that the edges of the wafer are open and give a slight corrugated appearance along their length and ends, exposing the inside of the wafer above the roof line. The inevitable happened on the first night when one of the roof panels was blown off into a neighbour's garden. We managed to recover this and re-attach it using nuts & bolts in place of the screws. We repeated this on the other roof panel. It kind of spoils the appearance of the shed but I think the shed will blow away before the roof comes off again. The designs of both the roof panels and method of attachment are very poor in my view for a shed costing the best part of £500 and they let down the overall quality of the product.

Excellent shed!

Bought this as a replacement for our old, knackered one! The assembly instructions all made perfect sense but you do definitely need the two people it recommends! The shed is great, nice that it comes with the shelves, skylight and little window. The walls are double layered so I think during the winter if we're in the shed we'll still be quite warm. Pleased with it!!
