A lot of these flip-top wastes have a rubber o-ring around the flip bit, which makes them very difficult to operate. This one doesn't have that, and consequently works so much better.
I don't know why the others have the o-ring (there's even one made by Diall, available elsewhere on this website, with the o-ring), because this seems to seal perfectly well without it. The sink certainly retains water long enough to wash your hands or have a shave.

I bought this product to replace my basin waste with plug and chain. Great now having no plug dangling on a chain getting dirty and in the way.

When the 'pop-up' waste of a wash basin ceased to function my idea was to replace it with a 'flip' basin waste. A search of the versions available on line led me to the B&Q version. Although it was not the least expensive it was what I was looking for. Easy to install and smart in appearance, it does a great job!

Changed our "push down/push up" drains a month ago after they tended to get stuck due to lime deposits. These flip units work great, and should be standard equipment in areas with hard water.
