Fits 7cm by 7cm posts as specified. I used a saw to cut approximately 5mm into the post where the metal things stick out in the support. I used a Rubber hammer and scrap wood in between to knock the post in. Wasn’t expecting it to be as straight as it is. Will certainly be purchasing more again soon
Wont fit 70x70 post

I can confirm this will not fit 70mmx70mm posts. The external dimensions are ok but there are metal flanges inside that protrude reducing the dimensions. Therefore posts will never fit. I dont understand how B&Q are selling these when they obviously would never fit the posts specified. Even the posts are from the same manufacturer

Bought this product in combination with a 70x70 fence post. There was no way that post would go into this product

The box is ideal but for one simple reason. The box doesn’t allow a 70x70 post to fit in it.
You need to cut the post down to 65x65 to make it fit
No good for standard 75mm fence posts!

Beware, measure your fence post before buying this product! Standard 3" or 75mm square fence posts won't fit! The inner dimension is only 70mm x 70mm. I had to spend half an hour planing down the end of the new fence post to get it to fit. Never had the problem with the "Metpost" repair spurs I have used before.
