RustedBbq - 3 months ago

We bought this just over two months ago. We have used it twice. On the second occasion it got wet. After a month of then being in the garage I was surprised and very disappointed to find it had started to rust. I would recommend looking for a longer term bbq or fire pit solution than this one. We will try to return ours as we are extremely disappointed with it.

Perfect for sitting out in the garden longer

I've only used it once but can already tell it's perfect for my medium sized garden. Our garden stops getting sun about 6pm so I put this in the middle of about 8 people and we sat until 9pm without any trouble. I used 2 instant light fire logs and some kindling (both from B&Q) to get it started before adding dried logs as required - and the 360 degree heat is brilliant. I've seen chimineas with only a small door before meaning the heat either comes out the top or one side, but this gives everyone around it great heat. It was brilliant for keeping the midges and flies away too, as soon as it was going they were nowhere to be seen. It's easy enough to tip up and empty the ash the next day.

The lid handle is right in the way of the flame so i've bought some heat resistant welding gloves to allow me to lift it off from the sides without burning myself. You can use one of the metal tools provided to hook it and lift it off but its not ideal if you're tying to both lift and put more logs on yourself. All in all though its easy to use, is a good size and gives off some great heat.
