I bought this on the Thursday and took it back on the Sunday having used it maybe three times.

I was sanding down the bannister on my stairs and the Bosch couldn't handle it. A chunk of the top of the corner/triangle just broke off.

I had been borrowing a no name sander from my dad - and bought my own to give his back. I used the Bosch exactly the same way - but it crumbled in no time at all and the intensity of the work was not severe or industrial.

I am really disappointed because Bosch usually make very solid products for home DIY purposes - but genuinely *not this one*.

The light at the end of the tunnel was B&Q who took it back without a quibble (the lady actually said it was the second one they'd received back that day).

Instead I spent an extra £5 and bought the Erbauer detail sander instead. It immediately feels more solid and robust in the hand and as soon as I got it home I could see the difference.

So don't buy the Bosch, get the Erbauer - and don't forget to get an extra packet of sand papers!
