I've had this mower for several months. Our grass has been several inches thick (getting close to a foot in places) and often fairly damp each time I've finally got round to mowing it - no problem for this mower. The grass is collected well, and it feels light and well balanced when lifting to/from the lawn with its central handle. No clogging, dropping of grass or overheating during the pretty testing times I've put it through. Quick and easy attach and removal of collecting bucket. A cordless would be nice, but at least I can just get going without worrying about whether it's charged and how long it will last. Very good performance for the money.

Motor died after 2.5 years

Performed well for 2.5 years - nice and light for a small garden - but disappointed when the motor failed (spectacularly - bits of carbon brush rattling around).

Great little mower!

I was really unsure whether to buy this mower due to some of the reviews and having a flymo for the last 10 years - which still works I may add.

I picked this up in store and looked at all the Bosch mowers - the difference were minimal, box size fractionally biggers, fractionally more v etc.

Fitted into the car boot perfectly (1 series) and took me all of 10 minutes to build fro opening the the box to finish.

This lawn mower is a cracking little thing, I have a 12x12 garden and if the grass is cut weekly I dont need to empty the box half way through. Yes, it feels a little light and flimsy but I have used this a good 10 times now and not had one issue. It leaves great strips on the lawn and my lawn looks so much better for it.

One thing I will add, is if you have the money.. go and get a wireless one!

Considering the cost and the warranty this is a no brainer for me.

Assembly issue - check before buying

We bought one of these models but were unable to use it. The handles are attached by inserting them into a short tube in the main body, then held in place with a screw. Unfortunately, either the screws provided were the wrong size, or the holes in the handle were not machined properly. In any event, the screw would not go into the handle. We returned our item to B&Q and picked up a new one - before leaving the shop we got permission to open the box and check that the same problem didn't occur. It did. A member of staff also tried to connect the handle to the main body, and failed as we had done. It therefore appears reasonable to assume that all of these mowers, at least in this batch, have the same fault.
Although in theory we could have purchased smaller screws or drilled into the handle to create larger holes, I don't think that this should be necessary in a brand new product and would have affected our ability to return the product if we encountered any other problems.
We have instead chosen to buy a Flymo Venturer 32 instead, which seems to be a very similar product.

Don’t buy
