• Flowering period: June - August, Planting period: April - May
• Plant in a sunny sheltered spot. Dig soil improver and bonemeal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole. Do not attempt to plant these bulbs if the ground is frozen or during freezing conditions. Remove faded flowers to prolong flowering. Not winter hardy. Cut down the foliage and stems to about 15cm as leaves yellow in Autumn and dig up rhizomes before first frosts. Remove surplus soil, dry off and store in trays in barely-damp vermiculite or multipurpose compost. Place in a frost-free position for the winter. Plant out in the following year.
