• Clean machines, equipment and tools with water before the adhesive dries. Cascamite should be stored in the original containers in a cool, dry place, at a temperature range of between 5°C and 30°C, but the ultimate storage conditions are between 20°C and 25°C. The adhesive should be protected against humidity and direct sun light. Moisture ingress will damage the integrity of the unmixed adhesive. In these conditions it has a storage life of at least 6 months.
• Ensure surfaces are smooth, clean, and dust-free. Wood, plywood, HPL must have uniform thickness; sand dense hardwoods if needed. Maintain 6-9% moisture content with <3% variation. Mix Cascamite 2:1 (weight) with water; avoid volume mixing. Stir gradually, ensure lump-free consistency. Apply evenly (100-400g/sqm) using a brush, roller. Bond difficult timbers on both surfaces. Adhesive spread affects assembly and setting times. Press substrates for required handling strength. Clamping pressure is crucial; follow indicated times. Refer to the cure times table for ambient and hot press temperatures. Adjust pressing times based on wood density, moisture, and glue line distance. Avoid gluing below 10°C; if necessary, cure may take 2-3 days. Keep pressured joints warm in cold weather.
