Bought this flooring a couple of weeks ago and laid it two days ago, looked great for 48 hours only then, as is stated in other reviews, the short joints come apart and looks awful, I am going to try and get a refund but I don’t hold out much hope, waste of £ £374.00 as it’s all got to come up, not happy, keep pushing them back in but pop out again in a matter of minutes.

Great product

I bought this to replace an existing 10 year old composite laminate floor that had given good service but had suffered from a leaking washing machine hose and had started to swell in places. This vinyl flooring is great to work with, just take your time and follow the package instructions for a beautiful finished floor.
The planks are shorter but wider than usual laminate and only have the click connector on the long edge, the end joints are a simple overlap and click joint which makes them really easy to fit. I rolled each edge and end joint with a wallpaper roller as I went along, you can actually hear the click profile locking into place!
The recommended underlay is expensive and as I only needed around 9 sq m, I have quite a bit of the underlay pack left over, shame they don't do a smaller pack!
The vinyl planks can easily be cut shorter using a straight edge guide and a Stanley knife, just score the line and bend the plank for a quick/straight break. Cutting around profiles such as door frames etc is a bit more tricky but I just used an electric jigsaw as I normally do with wooden/composite laminate. The trick here is to use a slow blade setting otherwise the vinyl re-bonds itself together from the friction heat of the blade and you need to trim it back with a sharp knife!
I didn't bother with the matching edge trim, I just left a 2 to 3mm gap around the edge of the new flooring and bought a limestone coloured silicone to finish off the edge which I think looks better than unsightly plastic trim.
I'm very pleased with the finished floor, warm to the touch and every joint is nice and tightly connected.

Its so Practical

I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this. Its been down in the kitchen and bathroom for over a year and still looks new and is extremely practical. Considering how easy it is to fit as well its an excellent product.

Still look good after 3 years, but need good prep

Bought for a kitchen floor and laid by me (average diy-er) in less than three hours.
They are thin and fairly rigid so the under surface must be absolutely even and smooth or the tiles will not joint together properly. I used the special underlay meant for this, expensive but very easy to cut to size and essential to even out the old concrete floor.
I swept and wiped thoroughly three times before starting and kept brushing while laying to remove every tiny piece of grit/offcuts.
Got the angle wrong and had to relay the first two rows but easy to undo and relay.
Cutting with a Stanley knife was straightforward but they are tough, you need a few blades. Otherwise fairly easy to trim to fit round pipes etc..
You need to be sure they are well socketed together in both directions as you go along to make them fit closely. I slightly 'forced' the final ones to fit tightly and they have all stayed in place perfectly, no lifting, even after hard use, spills, pets, cleaning.
Neutral colour and mottled varied pattern, like real limestone, very practical, not showing every tiny mark. You can see thin dark lines around the joints after nearly three years. I've dropped heavy pans, turmeric, knives etc.. and they don't show the damage - ideal for enthusiastic but messy cooks. Warm underfoot even in winter, not slippery, quiet. Although pricey, worth it.

Disappointing.

tim the noddy driver - 1 year ago

I have just had a complete bathroom refit and picked these for the sound deadening and long life. They cost a lot more than if I had used the tiles I used on the walls. Very poor colour match between packs and they have poor joints between some tiles. I will probably have to change the floor within the next few months. The flooring was fitted by a professional and the results are poor. I will not use this product again and cannot recommend it. I would have got better results using cheap lino on the roll.
