I bought one of these when we moved house in May. By the end of sptember the soft close had gone and it just slams shut like a regular seat.

GREAT! But. . .

Bought this toilet seat as the fixings looked great and it was plastic as I'm not a fan of the moulded MDF. It was great at 1st - both seats stayed up, the slow close was gentle yet quick, it is sooo comfy the most comfy seat I've used and it was good value for money, but after just over a month the hinges broke where it fixes to the seat. Almost as if the slow close feature mechanism was breaking through its confines.
I've had 2 of these seats and all the above is true for both. I agree it must have a design fault. I've returned both and am now trying another design but have had to go to MDF as the Bakau seat I got last week is sooo uncomfortable. I'm going to try perhaps the Palmi or the Nosara goldfish design as they look good quality and comfy. We're not doing very well with toilet seats.

VERY poor quality

This is made from very poor quality materials, specifically the fixings which wore out and broke within three months.

A Faulty Design!

I bought this toilet seat a few weeks ago, and almost immediately, it needed adjusting in order to work correctly. Now only the actual seat closes slowly. The supporting brackets are badly designed and do not fit correctly - before or after installation (as required in the instruction sheet). The seat is actually easy to fit, even though it fails to work correctly. It needs to go back to the drawing board and improved upon!

Not fit for purpose - don't buy

Rubbish. Lasted less than 2 weeks before the plastic hinges snapped when it was closing slowly on its own! The combination of metal and plastic fittings supplied are not fit for purpose. Took it back for a refund.
