I bought 14 of these doors and they are great. I am a novice/part time DIYer and found them easy to work with. You need 3 x heavy duty ballbearing hinges on them as they are heavy. When plaining the doors use masking tape 1mm of the plane line as the corners of the vaneer can split. Always take off wood from the bottom as there is less chance of hitting the internal material. I used Ronseal Walnut x 3 coats and they are lovely or so everyone has told me. They have transformed by old and tired house - oh yes make sure your chisels are razer sharp as cutting the hinge groves can be hard work and when drilling the tubular mortice drill pilot holes for the flat headed drill piece to follow as its easy to hit the vaneer of you are off course. Good luck.

My doors arrived yesterday, they are really nice but they are a much lighter shade of oak than in the picture. More of a limed oak effect. Hopefully they'll look better once they are hungry.

Look good .BUT TOTAL RUBBISH..

These doors we bought four Doors from B.Q. PLEASE DO NIT BUY THESE DOORS IF YOU NEED TO PLAIN THE DOORS TO FIT YOUR DOOR FRAMES YOU HAVE SUCH A VERY THIN I MEAN VERY THIN PEACE OF WOOD AND IF YOU PLAIN OVER THIS VERY VERY THIN PEACE OF WOOD THEN YOU WILL SEE THAT THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR IS CHIPBOARD. THE INSIDES OF THESE DOORS ARE CHIPBOARDS YES MY MOTHER OF 76 YEARS OLD And I TOUGHT BOUGHT THESE DOORS BECAUSE SHE GIT 10 % OFF ON WEDNESDAY THEY WERE 80 each FOR TWO DOORS OF SAME SIZE AND THE OTHER TWO BECAUSE THEY WERE A DIFFERENT SIZE WERE £97 APPROX each ... FOR THE PRICE AND THE WHY THESE DOORS ARE MADE FILLED WITH CHIPBOARD ARE MADE ARE OUTRAGEOUS THE HINGES YOU PUT ON THESE DOORS ARE HELD ON WITH 3 MM OF THIN WOOD WHY I SAY 3 mm of wood IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE OTHER THIN 3MM OF WOOD SO THE HINGE SITS FLUSH WITH THE DOOR CAN.AND SCREWS ARE SCREWED IN TO CHIPBOARD ...

Looks good.........but beware of installation limi

Extremely disappointed ! If you need to trim to size beware, only 6 mm per edge is possible. Might be OK in newer houses....maybe. Taking the maximum allowed trim on the top, I needed to take 8 mm from the bottom for carpet clearance.....11 mm cloud 9 underlay plus 8 mm pile carpet, nothing unusual! Except trim took the bottom of the door down to the chipboard core........didn't expect chipboard and very low density at that. Had to treat base edge with glue in hope that will protect veneer edge. My expectation is that a door should be capable of being trimmed to meet everyday clearance likelihoods.......not this one. Not fit for purpose......as in, can't accommodate typical installation conditions
