At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

Wished I had read reviews first

I have never used any paint that has such poor covering power, I recently purchased 2 10L tubs what a waste of money, I was applying to new plaster, I applied 2 mist coats at 40/60 as described on the tub, then 1 coat, then 2 coats, looks much the same as after the one coat. I am returning the unopened tub for refund and will get some real paint. Starange but using crown endurance natural calico , super paint 1 mist coat then top coat , sorted.

I wish i had read these reviews before purchasing this paint.
After wasting 2 weekends of my life painting my large expanse of ceiling, four coats later and after trying different rollers, exhausted I gave up. What a mess. This paint should be taken off the shelves so no other unsuspecting DIYer doesn't get caught out like the rest of us.! The coverage is diabolical, and leaves roller marks all over the place despite all the coats. I won't be buying Crown paint any longer, life is too short to bother with that stuff!
Ideal for home workouts and 6 year old girls

I bought this paint to freshen up a white loft during lockdown and this must be the worst paint ever. My girlfriend said “let’s just quickly paint the loft this weekend” to which I thought “great, a quick once over with this paint then I can sit down and watch the footy”, how wrong can one person be.
After painting with this for 5 minutes I realised that the water content in this paint was actually diluting the paint already on the walls. Dam, a second coat is needed. As the majority of our loft is ceiling my shoulders were already aching however I persevered and put on a second coat. Second coat went on and still not much difference. Third coat went on and by this time I am sweating like Fred West’s paperboy, arms are aching and I feel totally exhausted.
Not to worry as help is at hand from my 6 year old daughter. Now normally I would never let my daughter anywhere near paint especially whilst painting walls however what harm can come of this when you can’t even see the paint on the walls. Off she goes and starts painting a man with this paint. “Oh look Daddy, I have painted a ghost”. As I looked sure enough there was the ghostly apparition on the wall which was meant to be a person. As she started to get a bit upset the hero in me stepped in. “Don’t worry I said Daddy will get rid of the ghost”. I took her downstairs and we returned an hour later and sure enough Daddy had got rid of the ghost by allowing the paint to dry into its invisible coverage.
We repeated my daughters little game a few more times (after all we are in lockdown and home schooling can get a bit boring) however after many, many coats of paint we gave up the task and have decided to buy some paint which actually covers.
In a nutshell save your money or alternatively fill a bath up with cold water, add a tablespoon of cornflour and use that instead which should give you better coverage and a whiter wall than this paint.

After 5 coats it is still patchy and chalky. Looks like bits have been missed. Terrible paint. Have to redo hall stairs and landing again!! What a waste of valuable time.
