Great way to enliven old garden chair
John 1948 - 1 year ago
Bought this to try to brighten up an old wooden garden chair. All we did was scrub the chair with a watered down bleach solution and then just apply the paint. Its quite runny but only took 2 cats and its a real eye catcher. Would do it again

I have just painterd a gazebo that I had as a present and used Beach Blue as the main colour and several other colours for the seat. The paint works into the wood well and if you only use one coat the grain of the wood shows through. We are now painting all our garden furniture with cuprinol as it gives a really waterproof coating.
Dull fence transformed, but read the instructions.

I was keen to use this, as I realised that my front fence had aged and weathered slowly over the years and I also wanted to brighten up the street where I live. This certainly does that, and we now have a unique, distinctive and uplifting fence - in the winter it should lift the spirits and remind me of sunshine...
Make sure not to misread the instructions (as done by me and others elsewhere online) - the instructions are easily misread as leave up to eight hours between coats. It says re coat within eight hours and in fact its best to do after an hour as once it starts drying subsequent coats start beading. You will need to do at least two coats. I also found it fine to use with a roller despite being advised to use brush or spray.
Also only available in 1litre tins - bigger size would have been useful.
Anyway would thoroughly recommend
alot of colour in one little tin

The colour is bright and cheerful.it is easy to apply and goes a long way I did two 6ft gates with 2 coats a storage box and two scaffolding planks it dries within two hours my only issue is it does not come in the bigger 2.5l tin but I would say well worth the price and my garden is a happier place now
