Cuprinol Garden Shades has been specially developed to colour and protect sheds, fences and other garden wood. Its special pigments ensure a rich colour and allow the natural texture of the woodgrain to shine through. It can also be applied on terracotta, brick and stone, to bring beautiful colours to the rest of your garden. Can be applied with a brush or spray.

Good product.
Coverage is close to that stated on the tin. Application was easy drying quickly in the summer heat giving a good finish. Too early to assess weather resistance and adhesion.

Worth the higher price
Bought this to try and recolour our fence panels which had been painted red cedar a couple of times and the cuprunol ducksback wasnt up to the job despite about 5 coats on one panel. Then tried cuprinol onecat, also failed. Turns out they are fence ‘treatments’ rather than paint. So bought this in black ash as a last resort, and its excellent. Its pricier compared to other brands but I think its a false economy to buy chaeper when youll need multiple applications and in the end itll cost you more not just in money but also your time. This covers well with one coat. A couple of areas needed a 2nd coat but mostly one coat was enough. Its rained once since we used this paint and the water ran off like a polished car!

Highly recommended external paint
Bought this because wood stain was just not working right, this is l great to paint on and the end colour looks really good.

Great paint and colours
I needed another tin of this paint, same colour as I wanted to finish painting my garden furniture. The bigger tin was on offer and was great value. The colour is consistent from previous tin, which I purchased a few years ago and they matched really well.

Easy to apply and covers well, lovely black colour
Needed to give another coat to my shed and bench so had to purchase another tin, but the original paintwork has lasted for many years. Goes on well/good and easy coverage and a lovely black colour, looks stylishin the garden. Would highly recommend.
