Diall Black Self-adhesive Draught seal (L)6m

I bought this to replace old worn strips in wooden door. Surprised to discover that you must cut lengthwise down the middle to get the advertised 6m length - it's shipped as only 3m long! The backing strips came off and the adhesive was not fit for purpose. Am already looking for another alternative

This isn't a 6m length, it's 3m of 2 lengths joined side by side, so first you have to separate them. I doing this the backing tape came of both sides, and even the sticky strip came away fro the rubber on one piece so that's now useless. I stuck it to my cleaned doorframe, carefully pressing it down, and before I even got to the bottom the top fell off. I just hope the pressure of the door makes it eventually stick otherwise it was completely useless.

Bought in store for a " simple" nod of reducing drought on door. First strip when the backing strip came off so did all the adhesive. Net result piece of rubber with no adhesive. So, try again with next strip and very carefully manage to get backing strip off yet leave adhesive on rubber. However, after first few inches the backing strip frayed so had to, again, carefully remove the backing strip making sure adhesive stayed on the rubber. Repeat this process even few inches until all jamb sealed. Simple job became tedious time wasting job. Cannot recommend.

Great product does the job well and easy to install. Regarding the length. It comes as a 3m roll and is only 6 meters if you cut the 2 attached strips apart so a bit mis leading

Says on this site and on the box it’s 6 metres long, it isn’t, could only do the top and one side of the door, with 6 inches left over.
