Difficult to use this product and awkward to apply in the manner required

It does the job.
It’s keeping the draught out from the chimney, which it is supposed to do. It is a bit big for our small chimney though, so it looks rather obtrusive as it sticks out of the fireplace. It is easy to blow up (it doesn’t take much puff), and the air has stayed in without any trouble. We will probably remove it when the weather gets warmer, but it is useful for the winter months.

Chimney Draught excluder
This product is a great idea to block open chimneys from draught. It is easy to fit and remove if you have a working open fire. My lounge is much warmer now as not losing all the heat up the chimney.

Bought two, both failed after a single use
For the price you would expect something decent. Bought two for my open fires for this winter. Both failed on their first use on the seams which rendered them useless. Use a product from elsewhere.

Valve Leaks after a while
Bought this product a few months ago and at first it worked as expected, then it needed inflated several times a week, now i’ve discovered that the control valve leaks primarily because it is held together by a silicon seal which has deteriorated. Not worth the cost.

chimney sheep
Purchased this item because of the the very high wind we have been having, this item cancels out all the draught coming down the flue and taking away all the heat in the room. Well worth the purchase as long as you do want to light the fire gas/ coal if you want to light the fire REMOVE the item in question.

It would be good to know what shape Excluder is, from photo angle it could be round, square or rectangular. the only dimension is Length 0.7m BUT no width or depth. Richard

When inflated, it’s good. However, I need to inflate it every day! Even when not fully inflated, it stops most dirt from falling down the chimney, however… this isn’t what I bought it for…

Works great
No problem with this product which I bought to fill the chimney above a cast iron combination fireplace which is not lit. No problem as some have stated with the pipe falling off - it fits snug if pushed on properly. It's easier if you inflate it with an airbed pump than blowing it up. Also not sure about the complaint about size - it's a one size fits all, you inflate it to the size required, obviously not fully if your chimney is small. Plastic is reasonably thick so you would need something very sharp to burst it, rough mortar isn't going to bother it. Stayed inflated first time. Altogether a decent product at a reasonable price. Completely stopped my draught and I even had a damper plate blocking the fireplace. With the price of gas for the central heating this will pay for itself in one winter essily.
